Fresh Faced for Spring

Okay, I have to admit that I’ve been going a little crazy, well more than usual, with buying new makeup lately. I have QVC to blame for this. I used to think that QVC was a channel only for people like my mom, never for anyone under the age of 30 (sorry, Mom!). I don’t know why or how but I stumbled across this channel the other day while watching tv and low and behold they actually had cute stuff! And I’m talking name brand, current products like tarte, philosophy, Bare Escentuals, smashbox and many more. The prices are good and even better than ordering from other sites or in a store because if you don’t like it, QVC let’s you send it back within 30 days. Try to return something to another makeup store and see how willing they are to take it back. But anyway, here are some of my top picks that I have either already ordered and am just waiting on their delivery or are on my wish list to order which is growing longer and longer by the day.

* tarte High Shine Lip Luster Duo w/Lipsurgence Technology

Nourishing gloss ‘pencils’ in a slew of fun colors will help get those lips out from under all the heavy glosses we use in winter to protect them from the cold.

*Josie Maran Argan Oil

Former swimsuit model turned makeup guru, I have to admit that watching her segment on QVC was a little tough to tolerate but I’m pretty excited about this oil. What is it:  based on 100% pure organic argan oil from Morocco it’s all natural, which is something I’m trying to buy more of, and is supposed to be super nourishing. I have some eczema on my face which leads to dry patches in the winter and I really think this will help.

* Lipstick Queen Chinatown Glossy Pencil

Obsessed. Not only do these look appealing but when applied they actually have color to them. In my opinion, there is nothing worse then spending money on a gloss just to have it wimp out on you and have every shade look nearly identical once applied. These are for the girls out there unafraid of color (embrace it!).

* tarte Amazonian Clay Powder with Brush

This is a finishing powder that creates a matte look while helping to reduce the appearance of pores with each application. Made for all skin types and complexions, the Amazonian white clay acts as a total skin balancer by helping to reduce dryness and flakiness and improve clarity and texture for a soft focus and flawless finish. It’s formulated without parabens, sodium lauryl sulfate, mineral oil, petrolatum, synthetic fragrance, and phthalates (picking up on my all natural theme, yet?).  –and look at how awesome that brush is- -

* Kiehl’s Since 1851 Imperial Body Balm

A customer top-rated on QVC, this body balm is said to be inspired old-world Russian herbal practices. It’s extra thick and rich to help renew dry skin with a formulation of sea buckthorn berry oil, honey, fruit extracts and cocoa butter. And look at how awesome the packaging looks! I’m such a sucker for not only good products, but good looking products.
